Linked below is a great story. It may be a difficult read for some, full of all-too-familiar pain from family struggles, rejection, rifts between parents and children. There is some coarse language and some mildly suggestive imagery. Beneath that, however, is a fantastic story. I won't spoil it for you. The formatting of the post may be a little off-putting at first, but keep with it. I think it really conveys a lot of the author's emotion and adds much to the telling of the story. I made the mistake of reading it at work and promptly fell apart into a mess of tears.
So, here we go. Heart of Glass, a blog post (and wonderful story!) by Krista Burton of the Effing Dykes blog, one of my frequent and favorite reads.
